Kamloops International Baseball Tournament

This year was KIBT’s 46th baseball tournament here in Kamloops. Like years past, BigHorn Security was keeping a lookout during the event. This year the tournament happened during the weekend of July 4-7, 2019. 8 teams took part in this tournament for $20,000 in prize money. With the tournament’s popularity, the organizers were expecting a huge turnout this year. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t in the tournament’s favour and many games were rained out. Despite that, the Everett Merchants won the event and took home the prize! BigHorn Security was there to make sure everyone was able to safely attend this family event.

Brewloops – Spring Festival and Upcoming Events

Brewloops is one of the most tantalizing events in Kamloops this summer! It is a mixture of many family-friendly events across many locations in the city. Brewloops is a non-profit organization with a focus on delivering exceptional local arts, music, and fun for families. They collect funds that can be spent on the betterment of our community. That’s great! BigHorn security was present at the Spring Festival (sponsored by Kamloops Ford Lincoln). We made sure that families enjoyed the safe and friendly atmosphere while also helping the event complete without any problems. We are a proud partner of Brewloops and look forward to providing event security services in their upcoming events as well!

Beer Gardens Security

If you live in Kamloops, you probably know about all of the local Beer Garden festivities in the city throughout the year. One place you’ll see us is at the beer garden at Music In The Park on Wednesdays, in conjunction with Brewloops. Thousands of music lovers gather to Riverside Park in July and August so BigHorn Security will be there – we look forward to seeing you! We also provide security for many beer gardens put in by organizations throughout the city. If you’re setting up a beer garden and need a hand with security, give us a call!

Dragon Boat Festival

Once every year in Kamloops, the Kamloops Dragon Boat Club puts on the Dragon Boat Festival at Riverside Park. Despite the difficulties of paddling these boats on a river, the festival has taken place here in Kamloops and has been well-received by competitors and spectators since its first races in 2013. With the festival being so easy to watch at Riverside Park, along with the event happening during RibFest and Hot Nite in the City, Kamloopsians have come to enjoy watching this spectacular event while enjoying a plate of ribs. BigHorn Security will be there this year keeping the beach and the water safe during this event. We’ll see you there!
